The Chancellor has announced plans to extend to SEISS for those whose trades continue to be affected by the pandemic.
Those eligible will be able to claim a second and final grant in August worth up to 70% of average monthly trading profits for 3 months. It will be paid out in a single installment and capped at £6,750 in total.
The eligibility criteria will be the same the second time around as the first. People do not have to have claimed for the first grant to be able to claim the second. Your business may have been affected more recently.
Claims for the first grant must be in by 13 July 2020
You as the self-employed must make the claim yourself, this is not something we as your agent can help with, unfortunately. This is to protect from fraud and all being well it will quicken up the process of getting funds out to you.
We encourage those who are eligible to make the claim to do so and those who haven’t claimed it for the first grant that can, do so before the above closure date.
As always, if you have any questions do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
