Sence is delighted to announce the arrival of Craig Merry, he joined the Sence team in June. Sence Accounting has been growing and evolving since Anna took over the business and even more so since she took the reins fully with Brian’s departure some 3 years ago now.

Anna has spent copious amounts of time ironing out the team structure and what this should look like to accommodate the clients of the practice now and in the future. This has now been finalised and the team have clearly defined roles within the business, with a clear understanding of where they fit within the team and what their titles are.

To add to this and bolster the technical support we can offer Craig joins Sence. Craig comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience, qualifying with ACCA many years ago. He has 12 years plus practice experience working his way up to partner level, so ample knowledge of the regular day to day services we provide. He has also worked in businesses within the accounts function at managerial level so has helped many businesses evolve and grow too.

Craig’s addition will expand the technical team, it will support them in their development and allow Anna to share some of her duties so she can concentrate on other areas of business development for the practice.

Craig will take over from Anna, the day to day management of the office in terms of client work. He will work closely alongside Sam, our Office Manager, to ensure daily all client needs are met.

This does not mean Anna gets to retire just yet! She will still be involved but wants to spend some time out on some other areas both business and non-business related all with the intentions of our helping and supporting our clients.

We hope Craig settles in quickly, likes our offices, and his new working environment and we encourage our clients and contacts to ring and introduce yourselves and/or drop him an email to just say hello. His email is

Other changes we have made in between were the departure of Josh, one of our trainees. Josh had been with us for 2 years and was a very well-respected young man with our clients. He had recently completed his AAT Level 3 alongside Kira and as a result, had completed his training contract with Sence. Josh very quickly secured another role allowing him to move forward with little disruption to his planned career path. He was sad to be leaving and we will miss him around the office, but we wish him well on his next chapter and we are sure we have given him a solid ground to start his career.

Adam will be reducing his hours down over the coming weeks now the office is settling, and Anna has more support. Adam concentrates predominantly on a small number of clients and Sence things with Anna. He has been missing the open road and so is looking to explore his driving options again now things have moved forward and settled with the team.
